how I brought my husband closer!

Just posted this elsewhere....wdjc asked how can you grow closer to your spouse? In my experience these things have made all the difference.... My husband and I began praying each morning and night, also we read a chapter of the bible together each morning. We also do bible study as a family w the kids ( tho I do sometimes skip this one to get a few moments to myself) 3,4 nights a week and we have date night twice a month. We pray daily for one another. Prayer for my husband has become very important and has changed my life. Your first ministry is your spouse! Never say "im too tired" or " not tonight" in the bedroom. Sex is part of your ministry to your spouse and brings you closer together. Also don't ask for or initiate sex if the other is clearly tired, sick, etc. Do something wonderful for your spouse each day. Never go to bed or leave one another angry. Pray scripture, for there to be unity, same mindset , forgiving. Eph 4:32. Wives, RESPECT your husband even when it may be difficult or undeserving..ask Lord to help you see him as God sees him, what he shall become. Husbands LOVE your wives as Christ loved the church. Love should be unconditional not rewards for good behavior. Also Learn you cannot change them, only God can, all you can change is yourself and your reaction to them! ♡♥♡

pray for your church!

Heres a scripture prayer I customized for my church. We should be praying over our church as a whole and even praying that the demons be bound and sent away beyond a ten mike radius of our church. That unbelief , pride, sickness, fear, laziness, addictions, depression, worry, unforgiveness, uncertainty, low self esteem be bound and faith, humbleness, health, fearlessness, determination, love of God, thankfulness, trust in the Lord, forgiveness, certainty, self esteem be loosed over our church body by the blood of Jesus.

Lord let us all live together in peace and unity.(psalm 133:1). Help us to meet together often and encourage one another ( heb 10:25). Lord make us alert, strong in faith, having courage and doing all in love (1 cor 16:13). Grow inside us hearts that are happy to give (11cor 9:7). Give us a tireless capacity for doing good, give us determined spirits that never give up (gal 6:9). Give us power through Your Spirit to be strong. That Christ live in us through faith and our lives be strong in love and that we feel Your love. (Eph 3:16,17). Keep us humble, gentle, patient, accepting of others. Join us together through the Spirit (eph 4:2). Let our words build each other up, speak kindly! (Eph 4:32). Help us to all live a life of love (eph 5:2)! Help us also to live in a way that brings glory to Christ (phil 1:27)!!!!!in Jesus' name amen!

Wouldn't be a bad prayer for husbands and wives to pray either!

no one is looking at you!

Everyone is self conscious, worried to some degree how others view them. Years ago I was cured of this destructive, crippling flaw. I had some friends andcwecwere st a dance and my friends husband said come on, lets dance. So we were dancing. I barely could bc I was terrified, people were looking, judging , laughing, whatever. The guy had one arm and was quite funny. He goes " are you worried about people looking at you?". I said yes and said " don't worry, no one is paying any attention to you, they are saying wow look at how awesome the one armed guy dances!". Then he said something profound that changed my life, " no one is really paying attention to you bc they are all looking around, wondering who is looking at them, what people think if them, etc, and if they aren't worried about themselves, then they have self confidence and aren't judgemental about you.".

Since then I've beem less worried how others view me. Since I became saved, I worry even less how or what someone thinks of me. The ONLY ONE whose judgement matters sees me through the blood of His Son and loves me no matter what.

We need to pray for our nation and our leaders and esp our pastors!

I kinda suck at keeping up with things I intend to do..ie blogging etc. Been quite a while but I want to keep up with it.

I want to urge people to begin praying for our nation and our leaders. A lot of Christians dislike Obama but have you ever said a prayer for him and his family? I know neither have I. I am preaching to myself. Before I begin spouting off  about this or that I need to make sure Ive covered it in prayer! Our nation can turn itself around or rather He can turn our nation around. My God can do anything! He is mighty and just wants us to cry out to Him with our requests. We have not because we ask not! Ask and believe and you shall recieve!

The other is praying for our church leaders! I began doing this at least 5 times a week. When I pray daily for my husband, children and other things I began praying for all my church leaders and workers and their families. If the devil can attack our leaders that's the easiest and best way to make us all falter. Also think of this..if you are covering up others children in prayer God does and will lay your own children on someones heart to intercede for.
Here is a scriptual prayer I customized for my leaders, feel free to use it for anyone!

  • No evil shall come to their house or any plagues. May He put angels in charge of them and theirs (Psalm91:10-11).
  • may You give them a spirit of wisdom and revelation (eph 1:17)
  • help them to be full of joy always (phil 4:4)
  • Help them to ask You for everything and always give them a heart of thanksgiving (phil 4:6)
  • give them wisdom and understanding in spiritual things ( col 1:9)
  • Lord give them strength and protect them from the evil one ( II thes 3:3)
  • May You leade their hearts into Your loveand Christs patience (II thes 3:5)
  • help them to not become weary, help them to keep on keepin on (heb 12:3)
  • Help them to be a blessing each day (II cor 4:16)
  • if they do fall then please hold them up with Your hand Lord (psalm 37:24)
  • and may the Lord pour out His Holy Spirit on them (titus 3:6)
