We need to pray for our nation and our leaders and esp our pastors!

I kinda suck at keeping up with things I intend to do..ie blogging etc. Been quite a while but I want to keep up with it.

I want to urge people to begin praying for our nation and our leaders. A lot of Christians dislike Obama but have you ever said a prayer for him and his family? I know neither have I. I am preaching to myself. Before I begin spouting off  about this or that I need to make sure Ive covered it in prayer! Our nation can turn itself around or rather He can turn our nation around. My God can do anything! He is mighty and just wants us to cry out to Him with our requests. We have not because we ask not! Ask and believe and you shall recieve!

The other is praying for our church leaders! I began doing this at least 5 times a week. When I pray daily for my husband, children and other things I began praying for all my church leaders and workers and their families. If the devil can attack our leaders that's the easiest and best way to make us all falter. Also think of this..if you are covering up others children in prayer God does and will lay your own children on someones heart to intercede for.
Here is a scriptual prayer I customized for my leaders, feel free to use it for anyone!

  • No evil shall come to their house or any plagues. May He put angels in charge of them and theirs (Psalm91:10-11).
  • may You give them a spirit of wisdom and revelation (eph 1:17)
  • help them to be full of joy always (phil 4:4)
  • Help them to ask You for everything and always give them a heart of thanksgiving (phil 4:6)
  • give them wisdom and understanding in spiritual things ( col 1:9)
  • Lord give them strength and protect them from the evil one ( II thes 3:3)
  • May You leade their hearts into Your loveand Christs patience (II thes 3:5)
  • help them to not become weary, help them to keep on keepin on (heb 12:3)
  • Help them to be a blessing each day (II cor 4:16)
  • if they do fall then please hold them up with Your hand Lord (psalm 37:24)
  • and may the Lord pour out His Holy Spirit on them (titus 3:6)
